How institutions work with us

One contact instead of a hundred conversations

Institutions rarely lose students at the admission stage. They lose them afterwards — in the gap between an offer letter and an arrival, where a family is navigating an unfamiliar administrative system in a second language, often alone and against a deadline nobody explained to them.

DOCERE sits in that gap. We take the administrative and logistical load off admissions and international offices: preparing and checking student documentation, explaining the sequence to families in their own language, tracking each file and flagging the ones at risk before a deposit is lost. Your team keeps one contact rather than a hundred individual conversations.

For regulated matters, our partner lawyers, members of the Quebec Bar, or a regulated immigration consultant is engaged directly. That keeps the line clean: your institution is never in the position of giving immigration advice, and neither are we.

Common questions

Questions from institutions

The repetitive administrative work around incoming students: document collection and checking, explaining the order of steps, answering the same twenty questions in two languages, and following up when something stalls. Your admissions team keeps the academic decisions; we absorb the volume around them.

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We work with schools and universities abroad whose students are Canada-bound, acting as the local contact once a file moves from academic to administrative. Time zones and language are part of the arrangement rather than an obstacle to it.

Usually on two tracks at once. Students and families get a direct line for their individual files, and the school’s leadership gets a single view of the cohort — who is where in the process, and which files need attention. Both are handled by the same team, so nothing has to be relayed twice.

No. We work alongside it. The office keeps the relationship with the student and the academic decisions; we handle the administrative sequence that follows. Most institutions use us to absorb peak season rather than to replace a function.

Neither your institution nor DOCERE. Advice on a specific case, filing and representation are regulated acts, carried out by our partner lawyers, members of the Quebec Bar, or a regulated immigration consultant. We coordinate and inform; the regulated determination is made by someone licensed to make it.

With a conversation about volume and timing — how many students, from where, and against which intake. From there we propose a scope and a fee structure in writing. Nothing is committed by a first exchange.

It is processed for the student’s file and nothing else, and it is never sold or passed to third parties for marketing. Where an institution has its own data-handling requirements, we work to them — the arrangement is set out in writing before any student information changes hands.
